United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s 2-1-1 Helpline will be open and available to callers on Christmas Day. Open 24/7/365, 2-1-1 callers will be guided on how to apply for community resources in times of need.

While 2-1-1 is not a crisis line, it can connect callers to a variety of local resources that can help them get their lives back on track. This includes resources that can help individuals and families dealing with challenges related to these issues and more:

  • Food insecurity
  • Shelter
  • Employment
  • Child Care
  • Legal Help
  • Veteran Services
  • Counseling and Mental Health

In San Antonio, the top five needs callers look for support with are utility assistance, food, housing, health care and mental health.

2-1-1 is a free, anonymous social service hotline that helps people in our community find information about invaluable local resources. Trained and certified call specialists use a comprehensive database to help locate the assistance callers need in their zip code.

If you need help this holiday season, even on Christmas day, you can call 2-1-1 and select option 1 to find the assistance you need to improve your personal stability.
