Our efforts and investments focus on four areas that contribute to a stronger community:

United Way measures results to understand what is working, track progress toward established goals and make informed decisions about our funding and strategies.
Our approach is informed by the Results-Based Accountability framework, which uses data to help evaluate programs, services and progress toward community results.
Our partners submit data, which United Way collects, reviews and updates monthly.
The data reflects services and outcomes for children, individuals and families across Bexar County.
Because someone may participate in more than one program or receive multiple services, an individual may appear in multiple measures. Numbers across programs should not necessarily be added together to determine a unique number of people served.
Sharing this information publicly helps United Way track progress toward established goals, strengthen accountability and provide transparency into our community investments.
