United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County brought together dozens of local organizations and volunteers for our Week of Caring last week! Week of Caring was United Way’s call to action for corporations, families and individuals to connect with community organizations to give back. Running from September 19th until September 24th, Week of Caring 2022 was a huge success!

“CPS ENERGY takes every opportunity to give back to our community. Participating in volunteer events like Week of Caring is important because it provides another opportunity for our employees to support United Way’s mission of solving our community’s most complex challenges,” said Brandyn Rodriguez, Senior Manager Corporate Responsibility at CPS ENERGY.

16 local agencies participated in Week of Caring and more than 750 people volunteered! Below is a list of just a few of the organizations and local agencies that we connected during Week of Caring:

“This has been one of the most unique volunteer experiences, making educational toys that will not only bring smiles to the faces of children but also provide positive tools and interactive opportunities for AVANCE parents. This is going to be something I remember for a long time,” said Caroline Goddard, Strategic Community Partnerships Manager for Workforce Solutions Alamo.

Our Volunteer Center brings people and organizations together with local agencies to give back to the community. Volunteers make a difference for others and enrich the future of those in need through their service. If you want to volunteer, visit volunteersanantonio.org.
