Hands-on approach amplifies their impact

A leader in providing smart financial solutions that help families and individuals grow, Vantage Bank also empowers families to succeed through United Way.

Vantage Bank is a dedicated corporate partner of United Way not just because of the generous support of the United Way community campaign each year, their staff have a hands-on mentality when it comes to helping others.

Their employees continue to be generous with their time, volunteering in both the Shoebox and Write Start Projects. Volunteers from Vantage Bank helped supply, package and distribute basic necessities to people in crisis with the Shoebox Project last year. That generosity continued as they supported the Write Start Project in the summer, helping assemble and deliver school supplies to 1,500+ teachers in the North East Independent School District (NEISD).

Vantage Bank is connecting with the community directly, partnering with United Way to provide families in our Dual Generation initiative and United Way Child Care Scholars with free financial literacy classes throughout the year. These classes provide families with critical information and tips on budgeting, saving and making the strongest financial foundation they can.

In their 2025 workplace campaign, Vantage Bank’s leadership and employees stepped up again by contributing $51,000+ to United Way. They also sponsored a Loaned Executive during the campaign, who helped with the tremendous result of $46.8 million raised during the overall 2025 community campaign.

This year, they are already committed to making an impact with United Way again, as Curt Kruse, EVP Regional President Central Texas, will serve as the 2026 Loaned Executive Program Chair. As chair, Curt will support the 2026 United Way Community Campaign by developing relationships with volunteers and organizations in the community. They are also committed to volunteering during this year’s United Way Kids Festival, Shoebox and Write Start Projects.

Vantage Bank’s generosity, with both their time and their money, is making a meaningful difference today for young children, students and families in our community. Their dedication to giving back extends beyond just United Way, as they are active partners with Make-A-Wish of the Rio Grande Valley, the Vannie E. Cook Jr. Cancer Foundation and ChildSafe San Antonio.

Thank you to Vantage Bank and their team for being a leader in our community and showing that united is the way we create greater collective impact.
