FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and DePelchin Children’s Center will hold a grand opening to celebrate the opening of the Northeast Family Resource Center (FRC) on Saturday, March 21. Media are encouraged to attend.
In partnership with DePelchin Children’s Center, the United Way Northeast Family Resource Center will serve as a central hub providing support services for families who live on the northeast side of town at no cost to them. The Center will offer 1:1 resource navigation, access to a book and toy library as well as a Family Care Closet, which will offer free basic necessities like diapers, shampoo and other daily essentials. This FRC is the third Center that United Way has opened in San Antonio and is operated in partnership with DePelchin Children’s Center along with the Eastside FRC (near Frost Bank Center) and the East Central ISD FRC (inside Pecan Valley STEM Elementary)
The grand opening will feature speakers from United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and DePelchin Children’s Center. There will also be activities for the whole family, including face painting, activities for young children and free snacks.
