Each year employers throughout San Antonio “loan” management employees to facilitate successful 2021 United Way workplace campaigns. They serve as liaisons to corporate, small business, and public and service-sector organizations throughout Bexar County.
These Loaned Executives (LEs) become part of the United Way staff from July through early December while they remain on their companies’ payrolls. As valued members of the campaign team, they bring a variety of skills, knowledge, interests and backgrounds—important attributes as United Way works to improve the lives of others in our community.
Multiplying the capacity of United Way’s campaign staff, LEs help raise visibility for community needs–and challenges. It provides an opportunity to get acquainted with local issues and those working on them.
Arriving in late July, Loaned Executives began in-depth training, including team building exercises (with lively team trivia on the new United Way app), Impact Council updates, and a Dual Generation Initiative bus tour of the Eastside of San Antonio, all to assist with sharing the United Way message and service delivery during peak fundraising months.
The Loaned Executives’ commitment and compassion are invaluable to United Way and the community. They are dedicated to providing donors with a superior level of knowledge and service. Welcome aboard!
