We were thrilled to reveal last month that $47.4 million was raised for United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County in 2023. This astounding result will empower countless community resources and help our city’s young children, students and families reach their full potential.

“Thank you to all of our corporate partners, our community partners, our loaned executives, the United Way Board of Directors, my campaign cabinet and everyone who worked tirelessly over the past year so that we could arrive at this amazing result,” said Adam L. Hamilton, President and CEO of Southwest Research Institute and 2023 United Way Community Campaign Chair.

Adam leaves big shoes to fill, a challenge that incoming United Way Campaign Chair Phillip D. Green, CEO of Frost Bank is ready to take on.

“I will do my absolute best to live up to the legacy of all the community leaders and change-makers who have served as United Way’s campaign chair,” said Phillip D. Green. “Like Adam and those who served in this role before us, helping others in our community achieve greater personal and economic stability is something that I share a passion for.”

The collective contributions of our community campaign will help support over 80 nonprofits in our city. These organizations are critical to the success of our city as they prepare young children for life, help students be successful in school, economic mobility for families and basic needs for people in crisis. The year’s Campaign was a huge success, with 387 corporate partners and organizations walking the path to a better San Antonio with United Way.

We are so grateful to everyone who made this possible, from our donors to our volunteers and our board,” said Chris Martin, President and CEO of United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. “Each of you are real leaders for our city because of the action you take to help people in need,” he said.

United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County are extremely grateful to all donors, volunteers and everyone that supports creating tangible change for others.
