This year’s United Way Kids Festival, the only family-friendly official Fiesta event that is 100% free, was a great time for everyone who attended on April 25.
1,600+ individuals attended this year’s event at Rosedale Park, dancing and playing in activities that support learning for all children. 418 families attended and received support from 39 community partners.
United Way Kids Festival included fun activities like a bubble party experience for children, live music, a game truck with popular video games, a soft-play area, a sensory space for children with sensory needs, free books in English and Spanish and free food items like paletas, fruit cups and more.
The event was made possible by a partnership between United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department and District 5.
Our gratitude goes out to United Way Kids Festival sponsor, Whataburger, for helping bring this celebration to life. The event was also made possible through contributions and in-kind donations from PepsiCo, Flowers Baking Co of San Antonio, LLC, H-E-B, San Antonio Spurs Sports & Entertainment and Kiolbassa Smoked Meats.
