FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE —United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County will host their 9th annual Hunger Action Food Pantry at the Winston Intermediate School of Excellence (WISE) on Saturday, September 23.

Food insecurity is one of the most critical challenges that San Antonio residents face daily and is one of the top issues that 2-1-1 Helpline callers request assistance with.

Individuals and families who would like to receive free food supplies need to register at this link before receiving their pre-packaged foods that day. During United Way’s 2022 Hunger Action Food Pantry, more than 20,000 pounds of food was given out to more than 1,000 people.

WHAT: United Way’s 9th Annual Hunger Action Food Pantry

WHEN: Saturday, September 23rd, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

WHERE: Winston Intermediate School of Excellence, 2525 S. General McMullen Drive, San Antonio, 78226

WHO: Open to the public and local media is encouraged to attend, representatives will be available for interview.
