FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County has launched the United for Kerr County fund to provide long-term support for individuals and families devastated by last week’s tragic flooding as they rebuild and recover.
100% of this fund will support the Kerr County community with long-term resources and support, including safe housing, food access, economic recovery, essential basic needs and more.
To help jumpstart this effort, we are contributing $100,000 to the United for Kerr County Fund. We will also contribute an additional $25,000 in short-term support to address immediate needs in the community, separate from the United for Kerr County Fund.
We will work closely with local leaders and community residents to ensure that this fund will assist with any emerging needs identified by nonprofit partners working on the recovery efforts in Kerr County. As the community mourns and recovers, it is important that everyone unites together to lend a helping hand in this time of unimaginable loss.
