United for Kerr County - United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County
United for Kerr County

The United for Kerr County fund was established to offer long-term support to individuals and families impacted by the recent devastating floods, helping them rebuild their lives and recover over the long term.

Together, we raised $1,959,547.

100% of this fund supported the Kerr County community with long-term resources and support, including safe housing, food access, economic recovery, essential basic needs and more.

To help jumpstart this effort, we contributed $100,000 to the United for Kerr County Fund. We also contributed an additional $25,000 in short-term support to address immediate community needs, separate from the fund.

We worked closely with local leaders and community residents to ensure that this fund supported any emerging needs identified by nonprofit partners involved in the recovery efforts in Kerr County. As the community mourned and recovered, everyone came together to lend a helping hand during this time of unimaginable loss.

100% of all United for Kerr County funds will be used to support nonprofit partners providing long-term resources and support, including safe housing, food access, economic recovery, essential basic needs and more for the Kerr County community.

We will be fully transparent about how the dollars will be used and will provide updates on grants issued in the future.

No, the fund will be disbursed in the form of a grant to selected nonprofit partners providing long-term support services to Kerr County. Funds will not be disbursed to individuals and families directly.

In the summer of 2025, we opened a request for proposals and received 22 applications. The requests totaled over $4 million annually. We awarded $1.9 million over two years, distributing $973,000 to the selected programs each year. Seven of the organizations chosen are based in Kerr County, and each received 100% of their requested amount.
