Benefiting United Way Child Care Scholarships

Women United’s Power of the Purse Luncheon and Purse Auction benefits United Way Child Care Scholarships.

These scholarships make quality child care affordable and accessible for parents seeking higher education for the first time.

United Way provides critical support regarding the key needs of women, children and families in San Antonio. Proceeds from Power of the Purse provide scholarships for child care that empower parents to balance work, family and career goals to achieve economic mobility. By engaging Women United members and the wider community, Power of the Purse provides life-changing support for Child Care Scholars and their families.
